A substantial residential investment portfolio in Weston Rhyn, near Oswestry, has been sold by the Shrewsbury office of Towler Shaw Roberts.

The Brookfields development, which comprises 32 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, currently generates a total gross rental income of £120,480 per annum.

Offers in the region of £1,550,000 were invited for the Freehold interest.

Toby Shaw, a partner at TSR, handled the sale to an investment company from the North West.

He said: "The previous owners had undertaken an extensive redevelopment and refurbishment scheme which resulted in a substantial residential investment portfolio of apartments.

“The Brookfields development is highly sought after and well established, with 24 of the apartments having been retained and let on assured shorthold tenancies, with the remaining eight sold on a long leasehold basis of 125 years.”

He added: "The development consists of three individual apartment blocks which are configured in a ‘horseshoe’ arrangement with two-bedroom apartments located on the first floor and one-bedroom apartments on the ground floor.

"The one-bedroom apartments also benefit from private rear gardens while the development incorporates car parking facilities of one space per apartment and four additional spaces for visitor parking.”
