Land at Alexandra Road in Wellington, which offers attractive residential development opportunities, has been sold to a housing association.

The site, which extends to 0.86 acres, has been granted outline planning permission for 18 residential dwellings, incorporating both two and three bedroom houses, together with two bedroom flats and maisonettes.

Offers in the region of £400,000 had been invited for the Freehold interest of the land, which is in a convenient and highly sought after residential location close to Wellington town centre.

Toby Shaw, who handled the sale for Towler Shaw Roberts, said: “It’s an attractive site within walking distance of Wellington town centre and illustrates that there remains a demand for these size of plots.

"It’s been sold to a housing association who are planning to embark on a mixed development of houses and apartments.”
