St Laurence Homes Limited has purchased land opposite College Farm House in Mill Lane, which has been granted outline planning permission.
Offers of around £250,000 had been invited for the convenient location adjacent to Wrekin College and The Old Hall School.
The overall site, which enjoys views over the school playing fields, extends to 0.66 of an acre, of which 0.55 acres has the benefit of outline planning permission.
Toby Shaw, a partner at Towler Shaw Roberts, handled the sale.
Mr Shaw said: “It’s an ideal site for residential development and the intention of the buyer is to build up to seven dwellings.
“The site has outline planning permission for five dwellings, with the potential for up to seven, and it will be an attractive select development.
“A good level of interest was stimulated by the site which is situated along a private driveway within a highly sought after residential location.”
